Testpoint Report Template

Labcenter Note: This template is provided as an example. Users should either edit this document as required or create their own corporate template before using.

Since the document is largely tables the size of all the tables and graphics will change according to the project. This means that in many cases the user will have to edit the document to organise pagination.

This document contains information on the location of all testpoints on the board. It is intended for use during project review.

Testpoint Listing

This table details the location and size of each specified testpoint on the board along with it's connected status (whether it's routed or detached) .

Net Testpoint Count

This table lists the number of testpoints per net as well as the number specified in the Design Rule Manager (net class tab or global). If no constraints are specified then the specified column will be zero. Both placed (schematic terminals & single pad footprint) and designated (existing pad/via) testpoints contribute to the total in the actual column.

Note that this does not of itself indicate full testpoint availability. For example, if you set specified to be 2 for flying probe testing you should consider other facturos such as placement (e.g. inside component, beside large cap would be bad) as well as checking that sufficient testpoints have been placed.

Testpoint Plot (Top)

This image shows the location of testpoints on Top side of board. You should replace or add a similar image for Bot if needed. To do this click on the red padlock to open for editing, right click in space and select insert -> project data -> pcb image output. Then change mode to be testpoint plot and check/uncheck layers as appropriate.
